This year's race in Bac Ninh province attracted more than 2,000 athletes including officials, union members, youth, and people inside and outside the province.
In his opening speech, Mr. Ha Thai Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Youth Union of Bac Ninh province emphasized that the race is a practical activity to promote the image of a dynamic and friendly locality. At the same time, it encourages the movement of physical training, spreading a healthy lifestyle among union members and youth, especially young workers and laborers; contributing to promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
The tournament consists of two distances of 5 km and 10 km for men and women. According to the Organizing Committee, the professional quality this year has been significantly improved. Many athletes maintained good results in both distances, especially the group of young female athletes who were able to control the pace of the competition firmly. The competitive spirit was positive and united, there were no violations of regulations, and the athletes regularly supported each other on the track.
At the end of the content, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 sets of prizes for each category including: 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 1 Third prize and 7 Consolation prizes.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee also launched a fundraising campaign to support the people of the Central region who are suffering heavy losses due to storms and floods.
