Since the beginning of November, Lo Lo Chai village in Lung Cu commune, Ha Giang , has become unusually busy. The center of attention is a persimmon tree laden with fruit, standing out next to the mossy stone fence and the ancient yin-yang tiled roof, attracting long lines of tourists to take photos, especially on weekends.
The large number of people has caused the small road in the village to be frequently congested. Since then, many people have humorously nicknamed it "the most miserable rose tree in Vietnam" because it has to "receive" such a large number of visitors.

The story of the famous rose tree
This rose tree is located in the premises of an accommodation called SEEME. Ms. Linh, the homestay owner, brought the tree in 2023 with the simple wish of decorating the space of the ancient house to make it more lively.
Ms. Linh shared: "From the first days of opening this accommodation, I have cherished the idea of planting some familiar native trees such as peach, pear, plum, persimmon or wind chime to create a unique mark. As for the persimmon tree, I deliberately placed it close to the stone fence, because I imagined the day when the clusters of red fruit would stand out against the mossy wall and the ancient earthen house behind would be very beautiful."

She did not expect that her decoration idea would turn the rose tree into a unique highlight, attracting great attention from the tourist community, contributing to making Lo Lo Chai village more famous.
Consequences of sudden fame
Although happy about the popularity of the persimmon tree, Ms. Linh also admitted that there were inconveniences. On weekends, the small road in front of her house is always crowded and noisy, affecting the movement of guests and people living nearby.

"Many people jostled and pushed each other to take pictures or gathered and laughed until late at night. Some people even opened the door to enter the house, sat on the stone fence, climbed the tree or picked the fruit to try, causing insecurity and affecting the beauty," said the owner of the persimmon tree.
Ms. Linh hopes that when tourists come to visit and take pictures, they will keep order and have a sense of civility to protect the general landscape and the beautiful image of the rose tree.

Lo Lo Chai Village - A world- recognized destination
Lo Lo Chai is an ancient village located right at the foot of Lung Cu flagpole, famous for its yin-yang tiled houses and unique indigenous culture. The village's appeal has increased after being honored by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) as one of the "Best Tourist Villages in the World".
This recognition has caused the number of visitors to the village to skyrocket, especially on weekends, the room capacity at homestays is always at maximum. SEEME accommodation, where the famous persimmon tree is located, has only 4 rooms with a maximum capacity of 20 people, the average price is about 450,000 - 500,000 VND/person/night.
