From late October to early December is when Ha Giang ward (Tuyen Quang) enters the buckwheat flower season. This is also one of the most beautiful tourist times of the year when the weather is dry, sunny, and not too cold. Therefore, many people and tourists take advantage of the weekend to travel and explore the beautiful land of the Northwest.

On the weekend of November 15-16, the number of tourists coming to Tuyen Quang increased. The Ma Pi Leng area, Pho Cao, Tham Ma slope, the road to Lung Cu flagpole or the exit to Nho Que river were all crowded with people and vehicles, sometimes the line of vehicles was even a kilometer long.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu - a local tour guide said that every weekend, Highway 4C is always crowded, with one-way traffic jams stretching for kilometers.

Because this is the most popular choice to travel from Ha Giang ward to 4 communes Yen Minh, Quan Ba, Dong Van and Meo Vac, where there are many tourist attractions.

According to Mr. Tu, traffic jams usually last all day long. The traffic moves slowly, and it takes at least 1-2 hours to get out.

On social networks, many tourists shared images of crowds jostling and crowding at famous tourist attractions in Tuyen Quang such as Tu San alley, Tham Ma slope, the road to Quang Ba Heaven Gate...

Mr. Tran Viet, a tourist from Hanoi, went to Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai and then returned to Ha Giang by motorbike and encountered a traffic jam on the last leg of his trip.

He shared: "To avoid traffic jams, I proactively traveled early in the morning before the sun rose. When traveling from Dong Van to Meo Vac, I saw that there were already a lot of tourists, so jostling and traffic jams were inevitable."

Not only causing traffic jams, the food and accommodation services in Ha Giang also cannot meet the large number of visitors coming at the same time. Many restaurants were sold out within a few hours of opening, and Dong Van hotels were also "sold out" on a large scale.

Tran Tu Anh, a tourist from Hanoi to Ha Giang, shared: "Because we were traveling with only 2 people, we did not book a room in Dong Van, but when we arrived, everything was sold out. We had to choose to stay in a communal house or go back to Yen Minh to find a room."

Mr. Anh Tu said that every year at this time, Ha Giang is extremely crowded. The large number of people coming on weekends causes the quality of service to decrease and prices to increase.

"Overcrowding will affect many services as well as the experience of tourists. On weekends, prices for accommodation, food and transportation can increase by 2-3 times due to high demand. Moreover, customers may have to wait a long time to be served, and the quality of service is not guaranteed," said Mr. Tu.

During the most beautiful season of the year, traveling to Ha Giang is something that should not be missed. However, Mr. Tu advises tourists to choose to go on weekdays instead of weekends. Because traveling during the week reduces traffic jams, reduces room rates, and visitors can also fully experience the buckwheat flower season here without having to jostle and compete with crowds.
