Meeting to deploy tasks of organizing the 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival and receiving tourism titles in 2025

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha chaired the meeting in person and online.

Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Organizing Committee for Major Holidays chaired the meeting. The meeting was held in a combination of in-person and online formats with the communes of Quan Ba, Dong Van, Lung Cu, Meo Vac, Sa Phin, Yen Minh, Pho Bang, and Lung Phin.

The 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival is organized at the provincial level. The festival has the theme "The Stone Land in Bloom" and will open at 8:00 p.m. on November 29, 2025, at the Dong Van Commune Center. The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television; broadcast on the digital platform of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television, the Provincial Electronic Information Portal and the Provincial Tourism Information Center Information Page.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism spoke about the organization of the Buckwheat Flower Festival.

Within the framework of the festival, there will be response activities in a series of events, such as: Table Tennis Tournament "Open Buckwheat Flower Cup"; Experiential tourism activities with performances, cultural exchanges and traditional folk games of ethnic minorities; Building and launching the tourism product "Rock - Spirit of Rock".

Up to now, the province has directed localities to focus on planting buckwheat flowers at tourist spots along the 4C route from the gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark to the centers of communes and tourist spots of the Geopark; the Heaven's Gate stop, the Thach Son Than tourist spot; the Yen Minh stop; Tham Ma slope; the road to Pao's house; Lung Cam Cultural Village 4; the Vuong's House relic; the Stone Plateau Museum; Lo Lo Chai Cultural Village, Lung Cu commune; the area down to the Nho Que Hydropower Plant boat landing; Pa Vi Cultural Village... to ensure that the flowers bloom during the Festival. The flowers are planted in 3 batches, with a total area of over 300 hectares.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported on the planting and care of buckwheat flowers.

At the meeting, delegates contributed many ideas on coordination in festival organization; issues of ensuring traffic, security and order, food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation, parking, ticket collection, communication work, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha affirmed: The annual Buckwheat Flower Festival is a unique and exclusive tourism product of the province, a festival for all people. He emphasized that there is not much time left until the festival, based on Plan 102 of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, associations, agencies, enterprises, and communes in the buckwheat flower growing area need to focus on performing their assigned tasks in a systematic, scientific, professional manner, with a focal point and a responsible person. At the same time, promote communication and promotion of the province's Buckwheat Flower Festival destination to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Deserving to be the leading tourist destination in Asia with many national, regional and world titles.
