Tuyen Quang province synchronously deploys activities to serve tourists during the buckwheat flower season in 2025, aiming to widely promote the image of "Blooming Stone Land" tourism, a typical feature of the rocky plateau.
This is one of the main contents of the document directing departments, branches and localities in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark to carefully prepare for the 2025 buckwheat flower season, recently issued by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.
Specifically, communes in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark will conduct field surveys, mobilize and support people to plant buckwheat flowers to ensure the flower season lasts from October to the end of December 2025, coinciding with the organization of the Buckwheat Flower Festival at the end of November.
Flower planting areas are prioritized in prominent tourist areas and spots such as: Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Thach Son Than tourist spot, Tham Ma slope, Lung Cam cultural village, Vuong's relic, Stone Plateau Museum, Lo Lo Chai cultural village, Nho Que hydroelectric boat landing area and Pa Vi cultural village.

Localities are encouraged to create flower growing models associated with indigenous culture and organize planting competitions to increase attraction and diversify the landscape for visitors.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment sent technical staff to guide farmers in growing flowers according to the correct process, ensuring they bloom in time for the festival.
Along with flower planting, communes in the area have developed detailed plans to organize rich cultural and tourism experiences imbued with national identity, contributing to preserving and promoting local cultural values.
Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in special activities such as Mong flute blowing and dancing competitions, highland cuisine performances, folk games (duck catching, stick pushing, pig kicking), nightingale singing competitions, basket weaving, linen weaving, or experience "a day on the rock fields".
Places that often attract a lot of tourists such as Quan Ba Rest Stop, Yen Minh, Du Gia, Tham Ma slope, Lung Cam cultural village, Lung Cu flagpole, Nho Que river, Pa Vi cultural village, etc. will be invested in landscape improvement, service quality improvement and communication promotion.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for guiding, inspecting and supporting communes in organizing experiential activities, and coordinating with the Provincial Tourism Association to launch a new tourism product "Show Rock - Spirit of Rock", bringing a creative highlight to this year's festival season.
Localities have directed tourism service businesses - from accommodation, restaurants to souvenir stalls - to strictly implement price posting regulations, ensuring product quality and professional service attitude.
Strengthening environmental sanitation, landscape beautification, and waste collection at tourist sites; setting up hotlines at tourist areas and sites to promptly receive and handle visitors' feedback, contributing to building the image of a friendly, civilized, and attractive destination.
From a long-standing food crop of the highland people, with the creativity of the authorities at all levels, buckwheat flower has now become a strong crop, a unique tourism product that creates the tourism brand of Tuyen Quang.

The annual buckwheat flower festival is also an event not to be missed in the journey of many tourists when coming to Tuyen Quang.
Flowers usually start blooming from the beginning of October, are at their most brilliant in late October and last until the end of December, depending on weather conditions each year.
All over the mountainsides, hillsides and fields, small, fragile but persistent flowers bloom, covering the gray rocky land with an enchanting carpet of pink, purple and white.
What makes buckwheat flowers special is the magical color change in each blooming stage: when they first bloom, the flowers are pure white; when they are in full bloom, they gradually turn a light pink; and when they are almost gone, the whole field is dyed in a dark red color, like the transformation of the mountains and forests in the breath of winter.
That is why people say that watching buckwheat flowers is not only watching flowers, but also enjoying the "breath of time" in the northernmost region of the Fatherland.
Not only a scenic destination, buckwheat flower season is also an opportunity for tourists to learn about the lives of the Mong, Tay, Dao, and Giay people. They grow flowers not only for beauty but also to process into typical dishes and drinks such as fragrant and sticky buckwheat cakes, warm buckwheat wine, or fragrant rice paper powder./.
