Reviewing solutions to promote the Digital Literacy Program, develop the digital economy and digital society

(DN) - On the afternoon of November 5, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son chaired a working session with the Department of Science and Technology and related units on implementing the Digital Education Program, promoting the digital transformation process, developing the digital economy, digital society... in the province.

According to the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, regarding the results of implementing the Digital Literacy Program in the province, as of October 2025, Dong Nai has achieved 3/5 of its expenditure. In particular, the rate of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in state agencies in the province who have knowledge of digital transformation, digital skills and can use digital platforms and services for work is 100%. The rate of high school students and university students equipped with digital knowledge and skills to serve learning, research and innovation, with safety skills in learning and social interaction in the digital environment is 100%...

The province has built and updated its learning programs and contents on the Digital Popularization platform developed by the Ministry of Public Security , successfully organized two online courses on Protecting personal information security in the digital environment and Disseminating knowledge and skills in applying AI on the website https://binhdanhocvuso.gov.vn of the Ministry of Public Security, with a total of nearly 61,200 cadres, civil servants, public employees and people participating.

In addition, the Department of Science and Technology has organized an assessment of AI knowledge and application skills, and issued electronic certificates to more than 20,500 officials, civil servants, and public employees of departments, branches, sectors, and commune-level People's Committees through the online platform https://binhdanhocvuso.dongnai.gov.vn...

Speaking at the working session, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son requested: The Department of Science and Technology to closely follow the implementation progress of the Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Park Project and the Dong Nai Innovation Zone Project.

Regarding the implementation of the Digital Literacy Program, the Department of Science and Technology needs to deploy a program in coordination with mass organizations and universities, improve the operational efficiency of community digital technology groups to deploy synchronous solutions to improve indicators on the proportion of people of adult age with basic knowledge of digital transformation, digital skills, ability to use smart devices to exploit information, use essential digital platforms and services, and know how to protect themselves in the digital environment; the target of 1 million people of adult age confirmed to have achieved universal knowledge of digital transformation and digital skills on the VNeID platform...

Regarding the review of the draft Plan for the Development of the Provincial Digital Economy and Digital Society for the period 2026-2030, the provincial leaders requested the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with relevant units and localities to identify core and key issues and contents to have specific goals and build a breakthrough strategy in the development of the digital economy and digital society. At the same time, the Department of Science and Technology needs to connect and exchange with experts and consulting groups to contribute ideas and suggest solutions to promote the digital economy and digital society in the locality in a close and effective manner, meeting the needs of digital transformation in the fields in the area.
