Due to the low-lying terrain and lack of drainage, many areas are deeply flooded, making travel and the purchase of essential goods extremely difficult for the residents.

To provide timely assistance, the People's Committee of Dong Son commune has initially organized the provision of clean water to 132 affected households, with each household receiving a 20-liter water filter to meet their daily needs.

The head of the commune's police force was injured while helping residents evacuate.

On the morning of October 29th, in Son Tay commune ( Quang Ngai province ), several landslides occurred due to prolonged heavy rain, especially in the Uy Mang stream area (Dak Tren village), where rising water caused landslides on both banks, sweeping away people's property.

While directing the evacuation of residents and the movement of property to safety, Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Quang Tien, Chief of Police of Son Tay Commune, was unfortunately impaled by a tree branch through his right foot.

On October 29th, the Dong Tra Bong Commune Police mobilized 100% of its officers and soldiers to coordinate with the militia, youth union, and other commune departments to urgently assist households in Binh Trung and Phu An villages in relocating their property and livestock to safe places due to local flooding.
