The youthful energy of "Winter-Spring Volunteers"

Having become a hallmark of youth, each "Winter-Spring Volunteer" campaign is initiated by young people throughout the province with many meaningful activities. This is not only an opportunity for Youth Union members to affirm their pioneering spirit, but also a journey to spread warmth and bring practical resources to disadvantaged areas and border regions of the province.

The Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union donated funds for the construction of a rural road lighting project in Pa Vay Su commune.

The "Winter Volunteer Campaign 2025 - Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026" officially launched with a provincial-level opening ceremony in Pà Vầy Sủ commune. At the ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union presented 15 meaningful gifts to particularly disadvantaged families and 20 scholarships to support poor students overcoming difficulties; and allocated 320 million VND to build "Lighting Up Rural Roads in Border Areas" projects in Cốc Coọc village (Pà Vầy Sủ commune) and Đông Trứ village (Trung Thịnh commune). These are practical projects that address difficulties in transportation and rural security. In addition, to improve educational conditions, the Provincial Youth Union also donated "Green Library and Young Pioneers" projects to four primary schools: Cốc Pài, Bản Ngò, Nàn Ma, and Pà Vầy Sủ.

Upon receiving the resources, Comrade Vang Diu Truong, Secretary of the Party Branch of Coc Cooc village, expressed his delight: “The villagers faced many difficulties in transportation, but now with funding to build a lighting system for the rural roads in this border region, it will make travel much more convenient for them. The people are even more enthusiastic and actively participate in economic development.”

In Thuong Lam commune, the Youth Union closely coordinated and mobilized resources from agency branches and sponsoring units to carry out a series of social welfare activities. Specifically, the Union donated a water filter, an ion water generator, and 10 boxes of filtered water to the Khau Dao village cultural center. In addition, more than 40 warm blankets, 27 packages of essential goods, and 10 boxes of milk were also handed directly to disadvantaged families and the elderly. Notably, 2,500 notebooks were donated to children of families in Khau Dao village.

Comrade Chau Thanh Nga, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thuong Lam commune, said: “The Winter-Spring volunteer activities in Thuong Lam are not just about giving gifts, but about spreading the spirit of responsibility and compassion of young people. We hope to bring a warmer winter, and at the same time create practical conditions for people to improve their lives and for their children to study better.”

In the coming period, the Thượng Lâm Commune Youth Union will continue to maintain and improve the effectiveness of social welfare activities. At the same time, it will strengthen efforts to mobilize social resources, focusing on supporting sustainable livelihoods for disadvantaged youth and families receiving preferential treatment in the area. This will create a favorable environment for Youth Union members and young people to train, contribute, and affirm their pioneering role in building a more prosperous and beautiful Thượng Lâm homeland.

The "Winter 2025" and "Spring Volunteer 2026" programs will be implemented from November 2025 to February 2026. According to Mr. Hoang The Hanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, the program focuses on key activities such as: "Warm Winter for Children," "For Community Health," supporting disadvantaged youth, workers, and ethnic minority youth. Particular emphasis is placed on border protection awareness campaigns, providing technical support for farmers to combat the cold, and preserving ethnic cultural identity. Social welfare activities such as building and repairing charitable houses, constructing rural roads and bridges are being implemented extensively, mobilizing significant resources from society. These activities are organized widely, effectively, and are closely linked to the actual needs of each locality.

The youth volunteer movement in Tuyen Quang is increasingly affirming the pioneering and volunteer role of young people in building and developing the economy and society. At the same time, it is also an effective environment for young people to train, contribute, and grow, contributing to building stronger Youth Union and Association organizations.
