President Luong Cuong arrives in Korea, starting the APEC 2025 program

Within the framework of participating in the APEC Summit Week, the President is expected to have activities to interact with many leaders of APEC economies and meet with leaders of the world's leading corporations and businesses.

According to the special correspondent of VNA, at 2:50 p.m. on October 29 local time (12:50 p.m. Vietnam time), the plane carrying President Luong Cuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Gimhae military airport in Busan city (South Korea), starting the program to attend the 32nd Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week and bilateral work in Korea at the invitation of President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung.

Welcoming President Luong Cuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation at the airport on the Korean side were Director of the Diplomatic Academy Choi Hyung Chan and leaders of Busan city. On the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho, Vietnamese Consul General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan, along with officials and staff of the Embassy and Consulate General of Vietnam.

With the theme “Building a Sustainable Tomorrow” and three main priorities of Connectivity, Innovation and Prosperity, the APEC 2025 Summit Week is expected to be an important forum for APEC leaders to maintain dialogue, strengthen trust, and enhance cooperation to seek solutions to economic and trade challenges, promote innovation and sustainable, inclusive development in the region.

Vietnam has actively contributed to maintaining the momentum of APEC cooperation in the context of international economic cooperation and linkage facing many challenges. Vietnam has contributed to making APEC cooperation contents increasingly rich and comprehensive, helping APEC adapt to changes in the international situation and catch up with new development trends of the times, affirming APEC's indispensable role in promoting economic growth and linkage in Asia-Pacific and globally.

Attending this conference is also an opportunity for Vietnam to promote the image of a dynamic economy, deeply integrated and always accompanying the region towards the goal of "Connection-Innovation-Prosperity;" while affirming Vietnam's role as an active, responsible and increasingly proactive member in shaping the regional cooperation structure, preparing for hosting APEC 2027.

On the bilateral level, in the context of the Vietnam-Korea relationship developing very well, President Luong Cuong's working visit is an opportunity for the two sides to continue consolidating and deepening the foundation of good political relations, promoting the effective implementation of high-level commitments and agreements reached in recent times, bringing the good cooperation between the two countries to contribute more substantially and effectively to the development of each country in the current important development stage.

Within the framework of participating in the APEC Summit Week, the President is expected to have activities to interact with many leaders of APEC economies, meet with leaders of the world's leading corporations and businesses, thereby contributing to deepening bilateral relations with partners, mobilizing resources to serve the country's socio-economic development goals.
