The first Autumn Fair in Hanoi is not only a place to promote agricultural products and handicrafts of localities but also an opportunity for people in the Northwest highlands to introduce the quintessence of traditional culture closer to the people of the capital and tourists.
At the booths in the "Vietnamese Autumn - Autumn Colors and Fragrances" section, typical products of many localities are displayed and promoted. Here, visitors can easily recognize the diversity of each product in the Northwest mountains and forests, from typical agricultural products such as Seng Cu rice, Shan Tuyet tea, wild honey, to brocade products, essential oils or natural medicinal herbs.
With skillful hands and creative thinking, highland people are gradually turning traditional products into goods of high economic value, meeting the green and sustainable consumption trend of today's market.
Participating units come from cooperatives, cooperative groups, and business households in the provinces of Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Dien Bien , etc. Many products have been certified with 3 to 4 star OCOP, clearly demonstrating efforts to improve quality, improve designs, and ensure safe production processes. The fair is not only a place for promotion, but also an opportunity for localities to connect with consumers, expand distribution channels, and find long-term partners.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang - A tourist from Nghe An, shared: “I really like this exhibition space, it is both intimate and full of typical colors of the mountainous region. The price is reasonable with the quality, many products have clear certification stamps so I feel very secure. I bought a few packs of tea and a brocade scarf as gifts for my friends.”

“Participating in the fair is a great opportunity for us to meet customers directly, listen to feedback and learn how to promote. I hope that after this event, the products of the highlanders will be known more and have the opportunity to expand into supermarket chains or online sales channels,” Ms. Vu Viet Ha shared.
In addition to trading activities, the fair also organizes a space to demonstrate traditional crafts and introduce ethnic cultures. Many visitors are excited to witness the process of weaving brocade, making Shan Tuyet tea or tasting pure wild honey.
Mr. Pham Duc Long, a visitor with his family, said: “The stalls are all beautifully decorated and enthusiastically introduced. I see many highland products with eye-catching packaging, which can compete with city products. My child likes the bamboo dance, and my wife and I are impressed with the stilt house stall.”
