Continuing the session, on October 29th, the National Assembly spent the entire day discussing the results of the implementation of the socio- economic development plan for 2025; and the projected socio-economic development plan for 2026.

During discussions in the corridors of the National Assembly , several delegates shared their views on this issue.

Mr. Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, expressed his pleasure with the economic growth and social development achievements made in the recent period.

Mr. Phan Duc Hieu assessed this as a tremendous and commendable effort. The government has implemented appropriate solutions in the context of a difficult and volatile global economy, creating significant pressure on the domestic economy.

Besides the efforts of the Government, it is also necessary to mention the contributions of the business community and agencies from the central to local levels who have united and implemented synchronized solutions, overcoming difficulties to jointly develop the national economy.

According to Mr. Phan Duc Hieu, it must be affirmed that one of the great driving forces behind our success and the positive results we have achieved today is that our country is currently in a phase of accelerating institutional reforms, removing bottlenecks, and unlocking all resources to serve the goal of economic development.

The results we have achieved also clearly demonstrate the National Assembly's efforts in institutional reform, creating a more open development environment in the new phase, a new situation with many intertwined opportunities and challenges. These results will be the foundation and a favorable premise, creating momentum for the country to develop further in the next phase.

Assessing the feasibility of achieving double-digit economic growth in the coming period, Mr. Phan Duc Hieu believes that with the government's relentless efforts and the current strong push for institutional reforms, Vietnam's growth target in the next phase is challenging but achievable.

To ensure the successful achievement of this goal, the Government has proactively introduced several necessary solutions, such as maintaining macroeconomic stability and implementing solutions to restructure the economy towards high, rapid, and sustainable growth. These solutions are necessary and are receiving the support of the National Assembly.

However, according to Mr. Phan Duc Hieu, to ensure the achievement of the expected economic growth target, in addition to implementing the above solutions, we need to improve the quality of institutions. We need to act more decisively in translating policies and guidelines into economic and social life and practice; making institutions a crucial foundation for protecting and promoting socio-economic development and business activities.

New policies need to be implemented to produce positive impacts as defined by their objectives. Therefore, organizing timely and effective policy implementation and transforming policy objectives into tangible results that businesses and citizens can benefit from, thereby contributing more to the country's economic development, is a crucial issue that needs to be addressed.

Furthermore, Mr. Phan Duc Hieu suggested that in addition to promoting timely and effective policy implementation, there should also be a mechanism for businesses, organizations, and state-owned entities facing difficulties in handling specific procedures to report and provide feedback, and to have their difficulties and obstacles resolved promptly.

Assessing the feasibility of achieving socio-economic goals in the coming period, delegate Tran Van Lam (Bac Ninh delegation) stated that the results Vietnam has achieved in the past period are a very good foundation for the next phase.

However, a crucial factor contributing to our ability to achieve the growth target in the coming period is that Vietnam is currently accelerating institutional reforms, perfecting policies, and removing bottlenecks and obstacles hindering the country's economic development. This is an important driving force that will help us achieve a higher growth rate than in the previous period. Therefore, the 10% growth target is very feasible and achievable.

Sharing the same viewpoint, delegate Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap delegation) said that we can absolutely successfully achieve the economic growth target in the coming period.

In recent times, the disbursement of public investment capital has been relatively successful. Increased public investment capital means that resources invested in the economy also increase, the mobilization of resources from the private sector also increases, and the impetus for economic growth is higher. Therefore, we have a solid foundation to achieve the economic growth targets set for the next phase.
