Continuing the program of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on October 29, the National Assembly discussed and evaluated the results of the implementation of the 2025 socio- economic development plan; and projected the 2026 socio-economic development plan.

The National Assembly discussed and evaluated the results of the implementation of the 2025 socio-economic development plan and projected the 2026 socio-economic development plan.
Speaking at the discussion at the Hall, delegate Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province said that with the strong direction of the Government and the Prime Minister along with the strong recovery of the economy, the socio-cultural and tourism sectors of our country have achieved many outstanding results. Domestic and international tourism promotion and promotion programs have been promoted, contributing 8.2% of the national GDP.
In that picture, culture and tourism are not only service industries but also soft power promoting the image of Vietnam and its people in the international arena.
Delegate Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh proposed and recommended a number of key tasks and solutions on cultural development associated with green tourism towards sustainable development in the coming period.
Firstly, it is necessary to research and build a comprehensive green cultural tourism ecosystem. Vietnam was honored as Asia's leading destination in 2025 and Asia's leading heritage destination in 2025 at the International Tourism Awards. In the context of increasingly fierce regional and global tourism competition, maintaining cultural identity, conserving natural resources, developing international standard services and constantly innovating will be the golden key for Vietnam tourism to continue to shine.

Delegate Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province spoke.
Delegates suggested that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinate with localities to build a national brand for green cultural tourism in Vietnam, aiming at the image of a friendly, humane and sustainable Vietnam in the eyes of international tourists; promote international promotion and integration; continue to accompany and support localities in strongly implementing communication campaigns combining the promotion of culture, cuisine, craft villages, and heritage through digital platforms and major international events. That is the way for Vietnamese culture to shine in the global green space.
Second, continue to preserve and promote cultural values associated with ecology and community. Currently, the country has more than 8,000 national relics, including 8 world heritages recognized by UNESCO, 16 intangible heritages representing humanity and thousands, hundreds of unique traditional festivals. Developing green tourism cannot be separated from preserving national cultural identity.
Many localities have successfully implemented the community cultural and ecological tourism model, contributing to economic development and identity preservation. Traditional craft villages and community tourism models in many provinces and cities across the country are being restored in association with experiential tourism, becoming a bright spot in humanistic and community ecological tourism.
In order for that value to continue to be preserved and spread strongly in the coming time, delegates suggested that there should be a mechanism to encourage investment in green infrastructure, ecological transportation, community cultural spaces, creating conditions for people and tourists to participate in preserving the landscape, environment, and heritage associated with the national target program on new rural construction.
Propose that the Government study policies to support businesses, indigenous communities, ethnic minority artisans, and those who are preserving the nation's living cultural assets every day. Develop a national program on preserving and promoting cultural values associated with green tourism development, clearly defining the role of the community as the creator and beneficiary, promoting regional linkages in green cultural tourism so that from mountainous areas, plains to rivers, seas and islands, all become living cultural destinations, where tourists not only come to visit but also experience, love and be inspired by the country and people of Vietnam.

Third, promote digital transformation in culture and tourism. Strengthen the application of information technology and digital transformation in cultural heritage activities. Currently, many special national relics have been digitized in localities across the country, museums and heritage sites apply virtual reality to help visitors experience cultural spaces vividly, many localities have deployed smart tourist cards, green tourism digital maps to help visitors look up, book tickets, pay and respond to services.
These are steps in the right direction that need to be replicated nationwide, forming a national data platform on green tourism culture, linking maps of destinations to help tourists easily access and spread their journeys in a friendly, convenient and civilized way.
Fourth, paying attention to investing in cultural industries associated with tourism, recent major music events in Vietnam, in addition to attracting a large audience, especially the young generation, also contribute to honoring cultural values, spreading messages about life, love of country, and contributing to stimulating tourism in localities.
When patriotism is expressed by the young generation with enthusiasm and openness, music becomes a new source of development, a way for people to find sublimation of artistic emotions, arouse national pride and connect the community, contribute to renewing traditional tourism products and bring significant revenue to localities.
Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to national cultural and artistic programs on the occasion of major events associated with tourism promotion through multi-platform communication in the digital age.
"Developing culture associated with green tourism is not only an economic strategy but also a journey to spread Vietnamese values. Each preserved heritage, each preserved landscape, each tourist's smile is proof of a friendly and sustainable renewed Vietnam," the delegate expressed.
