With the desire to continue creating literary works of high ideological and artistic value, thereby more clearly portraying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and soldiers in both war and peacetime, the 2025 Literary Creation Camp on the theme "Armed Forces - Revolutionary War" took place in 15 days of hard work, excitement, and full of creative enthusiasm.

Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation Tran Ngoc Khoi emphasized: The 2025 writing camp was truly successful - not only in the number of manuscripts but above all in the creative spirit, commitment and belief that each camper brought. Different from previous camps, this year's writing camp has a special mission when aiming for novels and epics with scale and depth, marking the beginning of a major writing campaign in early 2026.

After 15 days, the artists and writers basically completed 18 manuscripts with a total capacity of nearly 8,000 pages. Among them were 10 novels, 04 short story collections, 02 memoirs, 02 research and criticisms. That number not only shows the huge amount of creative labor, but also reflects the serious, persistent and enthusiastic working spirit of each writer in the camp.

Director - Editor-in-Chief of People's Army Publishing House, Colonel, writer Pham Van Truong shared at the ceremony

The novels published in this writing camp create a rich picture of revolutionary war literature and the image of soldiers in both war and peacetime. In the revolutionary war theme, the most typical is "Suppressing Bandits" by writer Tran Nguyen My, which depicts the heroic image of Nguyen Dinh Thu. "The Jungle Man" by writer Nguyen Duy Liem tells a heroic story about a Liberation Army soldier.

In the field of modern-day soldier themes, the most prominent is "Wind from Nhiu Co San Peak" by writer Truong Thi Thuong Huyen, which opens up the majestic space of the Northwestern border, where soldiers day and night cling to the land, cling to the people, protecting every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland. Meanwhile, "Two-color rainbow" by writer Quynh Van reflects the life of Air Force soldiers in the far South Central region.

In addition, in the short story genre, Quynh Van's "Late Blooming Chrysanthemums" are slices of everyday life filled with warm camaraderie, where sacrifice and sharing transform into human beauty. Vu Thao Ngoc's "On the Reed Hill" is imbued with post-war nostalgia, evoking reflection on memories and the desire for rebirth of people after loss. And Truong Thi Thuong Huyen's "The One Who Walks Against the Sun" depicts the resilient journey of returning soldiers, still maintaining their bright qualities in the midst of challenging everyday life. In the memoir genre, Truong Dac Luc's "Memoirs of a Private" are simple yet moving pages of memories, written about an unknown soldier who contributed to the great victory.

Notably, in the genre of critical research, the work "Uncle Ho's Soldiers - Symbol of Vietnamese Culture" by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tu combines theory, memory and emotion, deeply analyzing Ho Chi Minh's ideology and the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in modern literature and art.

Sharing at the ceremony, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Publishing House, Colonel, writer Pham Van Truong said: The topic of the Armed Forces and revolutionary war has always been attractive not only in the past but also in the present. The results from this creative camp are the premise, solid foundation and also a great source of encouragement for the People's Army Publishing House and the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation to continue to coordinate to organize many new creative camps in the coming time.
