About 70 million Vietnamese users use Tiktok every month

TikTok officially announced that the platform has reached more than 460 million monthly active users in Southeast Asia. According to SensorTower, this is also the fastest growing platform in the region.

On October 29, at the Apps Summit Southeast Asia 2025 held in Hanoi , a TikTok representative said that the platform has reached more than 460 million monthly active users in Southeast Asia.

According to Mr. Nikhil Rolla - Director of Strategic Customers for Southeast Asia of TikTok, every month there are more than 160 million users in Indonesia, 70 million in Vietnam, 50 million in Thailand, and about 180 million other users across Southeast Asia accessing TikTok to entertain, learn and discover new things every day.

According to Mr. David Law - Regional Business Director of SensorTower, this is also the fastest growing platform in the region, affirming TikTok's appeal and connectivity in the digital economic picture.

These figures not only demonstrate strong growth potential for app developers, technology companies and businesses, but also affirm Southeast Asia's strategic role as a key development hub in the region's digital transformation process.

Statistics show that two-thirds of users who discover apps on TikTok do so with intention, and 45% continue to learn more on the platform, demonstrating TikTok's increasingly prominent role in users' decision-making processes, beyond mere entertainment.

With the combination of community power, creative storytelling, and deep data analytics, TikTok helps apps scale efficiently while building long-term user loyalty and retention.

According to Nikhil Rolla, we are entering a new era of creativity, where AI fuels imagination and sparks bold ideas. “Our goal is for every app to reach the right users, create deep connections, and achieve meaningful growth on TikTok. By combining creativity, technology, and data, we are empowering brands and app developers to thrive in Southeast Asia’s ever-changing digital landscape,” he said.

At the event, TikTok signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Digital Transformation Center under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam. This cooperation agreement aims to strengthen Vietnam's digital ecosystem by supporting domestic businesses, promoting cultural exchanges and creating momentum for sustainable digital growth.

"The cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam once again affirms TikTok's long-term commitment to promoting innovation and sustainable development of the digital ecosystem across the region," Mr. Nikhil Rolla emphasized./.
