Hue City Leaders: Visit and encourage families with children who died in the flood area

On the afternoon of October 29, Hue city leaders visited and encouraged the family of a 5-year-old child who unfortunately died in a drowning accident in Chau Chu village, Thuy Xuan ward.

Previously, according to information from the People's Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward, on the same morning, local people discovered the child's body in a fish pond near a rice field, at the beginning of the central road of Chau Chu village, not far from the child's house.

Upon receiving the news, the Thuy Xuan Ward Police force coordinated with Hue City Police and other functional units to quickly arrive at the scene, carry out necessary procedures and assist the family in organizing the funeral for the child.

At the family, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai kindly visited and shared the pain and loss with the child's relatives; sent deep condolences and encouraged the family to soon overcome the pain, stabilize their spirit and life.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai requested the authorities of Thuy Xuan ward and local organizations to continue to care for, support and help the family in burying the child carefully and safely in the complicated rainy and flood weather conditions; at the same time, create all favorable conditions for the family to stabilize their lives after the funeral.

“This is a heartbreaking incident, leaving great pain for the family and the community. All levels, sectors, especially local authorities, need to promptly care, share and help the family; at the same time, strengthen propaganda and remind households in the area to manage and look after children, ensuring absolute safety for them during the flood season,” said the Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee.
