The first Thanh Tri Commune Sports Festival was held on a grand scale at the Commune Culture, Information and Sports Center. Before that, the Organizing Committee of the Festival performed the fire-bringing ceremony from the Commune's Traditional House.
The Sports Congress is a practical and meaningful cultural and sports activity, aiming to encourage people of all walks of life to actively exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho, and to develop the mass sports movement in the commune.

Opening the Congress, Chairman of Thanh Tri Commune People's Committee La Van Huy affirmed: "The Congress is an event of special importance when Thanh Tri commune implements the 2-level local government. The Congress contributes to promoting propaganda and education work, creating a profound change in the awareness of all levels, sectors and the whole society about the role, position and importance of physical education and sports in improving people's health and physical strength, contributing to training people for comprehensive development; evaluating the results of physical education and sports development of the commune in the period of 2025-2030".

The program was organized solemnly and lively, clearly demonstrating discipline and high artistry. Highlights included the parade of 16 blocks with nearly 600 athletes; the ceremony of carrying the National Flag, the Olympic Flag; President Ho Chi Minh's photo, the torch procession and the lighting of the traditional fire.
The highlight of the Congress was the art performance "Thanh Tri - heroic spirit, youth and integration" with the participation of the Outdoor Health Club - Wushu Club - Vovinam Club - Dragon Club, hamlets 1, 2, 3 Yen My and Co Dien A hamlet - recreating the strong spirit, pride, solidarity, reflecting the aspiration to rise of the people of Thanh Tri commune in the new era - the era of rising of the Vietnamese nation.
