During his official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the afternoon of October 28 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife had a friendly meeting with the Vietnamese community and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK.

Faced with the particularly serious flood situation in the Central provinces, on the morning of October 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an urgent meeting, requesting the mobilization of maximum forces, using all measures to approach and provide supplies to the people, not letting any people go hungry, cold, or isolated due to the flood. The meeting was connected online with the Frontline Command Committee in Hue city, where Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directly inspected and directed the scene.

Continuing the program of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, on October 29, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the results of the implementation of the socio- economic development plan for 2025 and the expected plan for 2026; the results of the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on the 5-year plan for the period 2021-2025: socio-economic development; economic restructuring... Many hot issues, of special interest to voters and people across the country, were discussed in the parliament, notably the proposal to soon adjust the basic salary increase, and at the same time have strong solutions to protect medical staff, teachers and prevent school violence.
