On October 22, Buon Ma Thuot Ward Police, Dak Lak Province, said they had investigated and summoned relevant people to clarify the incident in which a young man was beaten and forced to kneel in the middle of the street.

Previously, on social media platforms such as Facebook and Tiktok, a clip appeared recording a scene of a young man being slapped repeatedly in the face and cursed by a man in black. This man also took the cigarette he was smoking and lit it on the young man's face.

Not stopping there, the man also forced the young man to kneel down on the street and apologize. Remarkably, the incident happened in front of many people around but no one intervened.

According to information on the clip, the man is the leader of the lion dance troupe in Buon Ma Thuot ( Dak Lak ), and the young man who was beaten is a member of the troupe.
