
According to the Ministry of Construction , serious infrastructure damage occurred at Km1123+600 to Km1139+100, Km1204+200 to Km1219+742, Km1337+900 to Km1339+850 in the section passing through the provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong.

These damages pose a direct threat to train safety and the safety of people and vehicles participating in railway traffic. The Ministry of Construction has authorized the Director of the Vietnam Railway Authority to review and issue an order to build emergency works to fix the damage.
The Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation are responsible for urgently reviewing and determining the specific extent of damage to railway infrastructure caused by natural disasters; proposing solutions to repair and overcome the consequences; and advising competent authorities to consider allocating capital for implementation.
Previously, Vietnam Railways Corporation said that the historic floods in the South Central region caused railway congestion from November 17 to November 25, damaging railway infrastructure stretching from Dieu Tri to Nha Trang.
The railway industry has announced the suspension of more than 100 passenger trains (from November 17 to December 10) and 65 freight trains. The number of train tickets returned to passengers is 39,000, worth VND24 billion. The total loss to the railway industry is estimated at about VND50 billion.
