In Tay Giang commune , the locality evacuated 26/94 people to a safe place. Of these, 5 households had their houses affected because the construction unit of the Avuong River embankment project did not calculate a plan to prevent and combat natural disasters, causing landslides in the residential area of ​​the Co Tu Traditional Village (in Agrong village).

Vice Chairman of Tay Giang Commune People's Committee Alang Toi said that the locality has requested the construction unit of the Avuong River embankment project to urgently fix the problem. At the same time, 5 other households in this residential area have been relocated to a safe place to avoid the risk of further landslides.

According to information from the People's Committee of Nam Tra My commune , the locality evacuated 213 households in 7 villages at risk of landslides and affected by floods. Notably, due to the complicated situation of landslides behind the agencies in the commune's administrative center, the locality has made an evacuation plan. This is the area where the headquarters of the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, the commune police headquarters, the dormitory for students of Nam Tra My High School...

Mr. Vo Nhu Son Tra, Vice Chairman of Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee, said that the local government and the People's Committees of the villages continue to mobilize households in areas at high risk of landslides to safe places such as: Ngoc Linh Ginseng Event Center, cultural houses, flood shelters, schools, commune People's Committee headquarters...

In Tra Tan commune , Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Lai informed that the locality had evacuated 97 households with 367 people from 4 villages. Song Y village alone was isolated, lost signal and electricity, making communication difficult, but the lives of people in this area were basically stable because there were not many large landslides.

“Currently, there are about 40 landslides recorded in the area. The locality is reviewing residential areas and continuing to evacuate households at high risk to safety,” Mr. Lai informed.
