At the same time, organize a 24/24 duty unit at all routes; assign staff to closely monitor flood areas to promptly deploy emergency work, disease prevention, water treatment for daily life, environmental sanitation and primary health care for the people. The industry prepares ambulances, stretchers... to perform first aid, emergency care, and transport victims quickly and safely.
According to the leaders of the Department of Health, the units have established mobile emergency and treatment teams; established a mobile medical examination and treatment system, ensuring adequate supplies of medicines, medical equipment, infusion fluids, blood and human resources to carry out emergency and treatment work for people.
In addition, coordinate the evacuation of children and the elderly with chronic cardiovascular and respiratory diseases to concentrated areas with permanent medical teams.
Hospitals and medical facilities are on 24/7 emergency duty, ready to admit and provide emergency care to victims of floods and storms; there should be no interruption in emergency care and treatment.
At the same time, strengthen the monitoring of cases; ensure good reception, emergency, treatment and isolation of patients, and be ready to arrange additional treatment points if necessary.
In particular, focus on ensuring specialized teams such as: trauma, dentistry, eyes, anesthesia, infectious diseases, x-ray, thoracic surgery, ear, nose, throat, brain, ultrasound... as well as sending teams of specialized doctors and emergency and mobile treatment teams to participate when there is a mobilization order from the Department of Health...
Urgently review and assess disease risks
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Health Huynh Thuan, to proactively overcome the consequences and ensure that units soon restore normal operations, the Department of Health requested that its affiliated agencies and units urgently mobilize human resources, vehicles, materials, and on-site equipment to organize general cleaning, disinfection, waste collection and treatment, and environmental cleaning in and around the unit's premises immediately after the water recedes.


Actively coordinate with military forces, local authorities, departments, branches and organizations to support waste transportation, clear drainage systems, dredge mud and soil, overcome natural disaster consequences, ensure electricity, water and infrastructure safety before resuming medical facilities.
The City Center for Disease Control urgently reviewed and assessed the risk of disease and the environment after flooding throughout the area, especially in deeply flooded and isolated areas.
Proactively distribute disinfectant chemicals, guide units, localities and communities to deploy measures to treat the environment, domestic water sources, well water, waste storage areas, toilets... according to regulations.
At the same time, coordinate with regional medical centers to provide technical guidance on the use of disinfectants, water treatment, and environmental sterilization; send technical staff to directly support hotspots when requested.
Strengthen monitoring, early detection and timely handling of infectious disease outbreaks after heavy rains and floods such as diarrhea, dermatitis, dengue fever, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases...
Regional medical centers proactively coordinate with local authorities, military forces and local organizations to mobilize participation in general cleaning, disinfection, and waste treatment at units and commune and ward health stations.
Organize the distribution and guidance of agencies, units, schools, and residential areas to use disinfectants properly and effectively.
Mobilize village and commune health workers and medical collaborators to participate in propaganda and instruct people on disease prevention and control after floods.
The Youth Union of the Department of Health is urgently mobilizing its affiliated branches to coordinate with the Youth Unions of hospitals and regional medical centers to organize volunteer youth teams, ready to support flooded units in cleaning up, environmental sanitation, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
Coordinate with local authorities, organizations and armed forces to deploy activities to support people in disinfecting the environment, cleaning up mud, collecting medical and domestic waste; at the same time, propagate measures to prevent and control epidemics after heavy rains and floods in the community.
Along with that, hospitals and medical facilities have proactively planned to organize medical examination, treatment, prevention, and health care for people immediately after the flood recedes.
As well as implementing measures to monitor, control, prevent and combat infectious diseases and environmental treatment; instructing people to implement environmental sanitation measures, disease prevention and control; collecting and treating waste.
At the same time, clean wells, dug wells, natural water sources, underground water tanks, provide instructions on how to treat contaminated water sources, kill mosquito larvae, personal hygiene, etc.
