Receiving information that 6 households in Aching village, Tay Giang commune had their houses flooded by landslides, causing property damage and destroying a lot of stored food, on the morning of October 30, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank (CSXH) in Tay Giang area prepared necessities and was ready to support the people.
Because the road to Aching village is isolated, cut off by landslides and rising streams, staff of the Tay Giang Social Policy Bank had to carry goods and walk for kilometers to reach the area. Each household affected by the landslide was supported by the unit with a gift worth 1 million VND, including necessities and cash.
Mr. Vu Dinh, Director of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank in Tay Giang area, said that in the coming time, the unit will call on benefactors and mobilize staff to contribute to continue supporting households in isolated areas.

In Thang An commune, in recent days, the commune's Youth Union has coordinated with volunteer units to mobilize local people to support vegetables and necessities for households in areas isolated by heavy floods. Up to now, the unit has mobilized nearly 80 million VND, 510 necessities, 30 cartons of filtered water, 1,000 loaves of bread...
In particular, from the mobilized funds, rice and vegetables, the union members and youth cooked nearly 2,000 meals. All of these foods and necessities were carefully packaged and transported to deeply flooded areas to be given to affected people.
Ms. Pham Thi Dieu, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Thang An Commune, said that although the meals and gifts were small, they were very meaningful to many households that were isolated due to deep flooding and unable to cook.
"Hopefully the community's cooperation will give more motivation to help people in flooded areas overcome difficulties, quickly overcome the consequences of floods, and stabilize their lives," Ms. Dieu shared.

Mr. Huynh Minh Phat, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tam Anh Commune, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tam Anh Commune, said that the unit mobilized benefactors and local people to support large amounts of water, milk, dry food, and bread; and also packaged 300 banh chung and banh u. All of this food was promptly delivered to the flooded area of Dai Loc Commune on October 30, helping people not to go hungry during the days of being cut off by floodwaters.
