On the afternoon of October 30, Mr. Arat Blui, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Giang Commune, said that the locality had just inspected the actual landslide on the hill behind the Tay Giang Ancient Village Residential Area (in Agrong village). Through the survey, the crack was about 300m long, 0.3 - 0.5m wide, and some places had sunk deeper than 2m. The volume of rock and soil on this hill was estimated at more than 5,000m³.
“We estimate that about 60 households are at risk of being affected. Of these, 18 households are at risk of being completely buried, 22 households are at high risk of being buried and 10 households are at risk of being affected by landslides if they occur,” said Mr. Arat Blúi.

On the afternoon of October 30, local authorities, along with police, military , and youth forces, mobilized and urgently evacuated 40 households in high-risk groups to safe shelters. At the same time, they deployed checkpoints and placed warning signs, restricting people from passing through this area.
For the remaining households in the residential area, local authorities are assessing the level of impact and continuing to develop evacuation plans to minimize damage to people and property due to possible landslides.
