On the afternoon of October 30, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspected landslide recovery work in Son Tay commune, Quang Ngai province.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspected the landslide recovery work on Provincial Road 623 through Ra Nhua village, Son Tay commune and several landslides with a volume of mud, soil and rock of about 10,000m3 , isolating 6,000 households.

Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang informed that currently, 6,000 people are still guaranteed food, only a few small places are at risk of shortage. However, in the face of complicated landslide developments that may occur, the province has directed Son Tay commune to review and find solutions to support people, with the goal of not letting any household go hungry or thirsty due to floods and landslides.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directed the Party Committee, the government of Quang Ngai province, and the armed forces to urgently mobilize more vehicles to overcome the landslides and ensure traffic on October 31. The military has a plan to move and transport food to the people, while engineers will support the locality in breaking rocks, overcoming landslides, and have a plan to respond to further landslides caused by heavy rain.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has asked Quang Ngai province to develop long-term solutions to deal with the landslides that are threatening many mountainous areas. According to statistics, the province has nearly 200 high-risk landslide sites that need to be reviewed, reinforced, and have plans to warn and evacuate people when necessary.
