Notably, many large trees with diameters of 0.4 - 0.6 m were also dragged along, lying across the road, making rescue work difficult. Traffic on the entire pass was cut off. Authorities have notified from a distance to vehicles to proactively travel in other directions to ensure safety.

Due to the large amount of rock and soil spilled onto the road, along with many fallen trees, rescue work will take a long time.

Previously, as SGGP Newspaper reported, due to heavy rain lasting from the afternoon of October 27 to the early morning of October 28, National Highway 28 through Gia Bac Pass continuously experienced landslides. Up to now, on the more than 10km long pass, about 13 landslides and subsidence points have been recorded, posing many potential traffic safety risks.

Currently, authorities are on duty, making plans to open the road, ensuring traffic resumes as soon as possible.
