Reenacting the New Rice Celebration of the K'Ho ethnic group

On November 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Dam Rong 2 commune, Lam Dong province to re-enact the New Rice Celebration of the K'Ho ethnic group.

The new rice celebration is a long-standing traditional custom of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, expressing gratitude to God and the gods for giving them a bountiful harvest and a prosperous life.

This is also an opportunity for villagers to celebrate together, share the fruits of their labor, and increase solidarity and community cohesion.

The reenactment of the New Rice Celebration of the K'Ho ethnic group aims to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, contributing to research, collection, and education of the younger generation about national identity.

At the same time, linking cultural and tourism development with preserving local cultural characteristics, effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of Dam Rong 2 land.
