This is an activity to express gratitude and deeply depict the spirit of solidarity, affection, and strong vitality of the city's people. The logo should be an open, inspiring space.

The Covid-19 pandemic is a period of unprecedented loss, but also a test of the city's vitality. From the pain, Ho Chi Minh City has made a spectacular recovery with an impressive GRDP growth rate - a testament to the courage and resilience of the people and businesses.

With the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, we are proud to have joined hands in both the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and the recovery period. In the fight against the pandemic, young entrepreneurs have fought like soldiers in peacetime, not only supporting with financial resources but also with efforts, intelligence, sweat and tears. Some notable activities include: "Zero-dong supermarket", "Rice ATM", "Oxygen transport team", "Saigon's breath"... In the recovery period, many young businesses have proactively transformed and created new business models, contributing to the strong recovery of the city's economy .

Many young entrepreneurs have been recognized as exemplary in the fight against the epidemic, demonstrating their important contributions to the city's development. We are proud to contribute our efforts and intelligence to the continuous development of Ho Chi Minh City - a place that always rises strongly after every challenge.

When the city initiated the construction of a symbol of “recognition of solidarity and unity”, I thought it was not just a memorial, but a spiritual symbol – where each citizen could look back and be proud that “we have overcome one of the greatest challenges of our time together”.

I hope this symbol will be modern, rich in symbolism and inspiring for future generations. The symbol should be an open space, a place where light, water music, sound and memories converge. And above all, it needs to carry an everlasting message: “No matter how many times it is challenged, this city will still revive, because in every Saigonese there is always a flame of love and the will to overcome”.

So that every citizen sees himself in the symbol of the city

As someone who has been attached to the neighborhood for many years and has accompanied the epidemic prevention force, I strongly agree with the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to choose a worthy place to be the monument symbolizing the Covid-19 epidemic prevention of Ho Chi Minh City. I feel that the city's consultation with the people on the symbol of recognition of the solidarity and unity of the people of Ho Chi Minh City is truly precious. Because more than anyone else, we, the people, have experienced and lived through those days full of loss but full of love.

I hope this symbol will not only be a tribute, but also an image that crystallizes the strength of the people. If I could contribute an idea, I would imagine it could be hands reaching up together to support a blooming green shoot, symbolizing the spirit of "joint efforts and unanimity" - where each person contributes a small part to revive the city. That green shoot is also a symbol of life, of faith and hope, like the way Ho Chi Minh City has dramatically revived after the pandemic, with indomitable vitality and determination.

I hope this project will be located in an open space, in harmony with nature, with a place for people to sit, rest, commemorate, or simply look at it and feel relieved. Because it must be a place of emotion and pride, where future generations can come and hear stories about a time of "Saigon of love", where people did not abandon each other in times of trouble. So that every time we look at that symbol, we will not only remember the painful past, but also see the strength of today, the strength of the people, of love - the strength that makes a resilient and humane Ho Chi Minh City.

A space of pride and gratitude

The Covid-19 pandemic is not only a painful period for humanity, but also a challenging time and the clearest proof of the spirit of solidarity and affection of the Vietnamese people, especially the people of Ho Chi Minh City. I strongly support the idea of a symbolic project to recognize the solidarity and unity of the city's people in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic at land plot No. 1 Ly Thai To Street, Vuon Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

In my opinion, this is not just a simple “memorial monument”, but should be envisioned as a living space - a place where each citizen can find pride, empathy and profound lessons for the future.

This project reminds us that “prevention is better than cure”, so that what has happened will not be repeated. At the same time, this is also a place to mark the spirit of “no one is left behind”, a traditional beauty that has helped the city overcome the most difficult days. I appreciate it even more when the city chooses to connect the memorial project with a green park, something that our city is lacking. A green space, a public space to both commemorate and for people to relax and find balance after losses, that is a very humane choice.

I believe that if carried out with gratitude and respect for the past, the project will not only be a symbol of an unforgettable period, but also a meeting point of pride, vitality and humanity of the city.

The symbolic project recognizing the solidarity and unity of the city's people in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic will be built at land plot No. 1 Ly Thai To Street, Vuon Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The intended message of the Icon is as follows:

1. From loss to rapid revival: represents the city's special historical period, when it had to suffer huge losses. At the same time, it recognizes the city's strong vitality and rapid revival. Overcoming an unprecedented difficult period, the city has made a spectacular recovery with a growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2022 reaching 9.03%, in 2023 growing 5.81%, in 2024 growing 7.17%.

2. Gratitude for the spirit of solidarity and unity: The symbol represents the recognition and honor of the contributions, dedication, sacrifices and sharing of both material and spiritual things of the people of the whole country, especially the medical staff, armed forces and people of all walks of life in Ho Chi Minh City who have "joined hands and unity" in the fight against the epidemic and socio-economic recovery.

3. A reminder for the future: The project not only pays tribute to the past but also serves as a profound historical lesson, a reminder for future generations. The Covid-19 pandemic shows that non-traditional security threats can occur at any time, requiring the entire society to never be negligent or subjective in prevention and response work.
