More than 22,000 houses were flooded in the Central region.

As of the morning of November 1, severe floods and natural disasters in the Central region have left 35 people dead and missing (an increase of 1 person compared to the report on the evening of October 31), according to information from the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention this morning.

Of the 35 people killed and missing in the localities of Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang , Quang Ngai and Lam Dong as of this morning, 29 people died (mostly in Hue and Da Nang) and 6 people are still missing, along with 43 others injured.

The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention said that 22,119 houses are still flooded.

The damage to crops, livestock, aquaculture and traffic is huge. There are currently 44 locations on national highways that are blocked, including 23 locations on the national highway system managed by the Ministry of Construction , including: 13 locations on the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Highway (expected to be open today), 7 locations on the East Truong Son Road (expected to be open today), 2 locations on the La Son - Hoa Lien route (expected to be open on November 2)... The total volume of landslides is about 262,845m 3 .

Since noon yesterday, October 31, the slow-running train route through Hue - Da Nang has been opened; the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway route has also been opened, and trains have returned to normal operation.

Regarding electricity, there are still 97,090 customers without power (most in Da Nang: 93,356 customers - accounting for more than 96%).
