Vehicles are still not allowed to pass through D'ran Pass.

In addition to the approximately 30m long crack on the road surface, there are also quite large cracks on the hill, which could cause landslides at any time. To ensure safety, the authorities have not yet allowed vehicles to pass through the landslide site on D'ran Pass.

Authorities check the current status of the crack location.

As of this afternoon (October 29), the work of clearing the landslides at D'ran Pass from Km 262+500 to Km 262+530 is still continuing. However, due to the effects of prolonged heavy rain, weak roadbed, and long-term water seepage, the road surface has sunk and cracked about 30m long, with cracks 3-5cm wide and an average subsidence of 20-25cm, affecting traffic safety on the route.

Along with that, in the pine forest on the slope side, many large cracks appeared, threatening to collapse onto Highway 20 through D'Ran Pass in Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province at any time. To ensure safety, until the afternoon of October 29, the authorities continued to stretch ropes, not allowing vehicles to pass through the landslide site.

Relevant units fix the problem

Along with that, 886 - Thanh Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (the regular maintenance unit of National Highway 20) is strengthening monitoring, warning and supporting vehicles to move safely; at the same time, continuing to check and evaluate the current status of the roadbed to propose a thorough solution.

Vehicles entering the landslide area are instructed to turn around and take another, safer route.

Previously, on the evening of October 28, at the Treo Bridge area on D'ran Pass (National Highway 20, through D'ran Commune, Lam Dong Province), a landslide occurred from the positive slope onto the road surface, causing traffic obstruction. Immediately after receiving the report, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Police coordinated with the functional forces of Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat and D'ran Commune to quickly arrive at the scene, organize traffic flow, temporarily block off traffic in both directions to ensure safety.

Authorities are present 24/7 to regulate traffic.

To ensure safety, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province recommends that vehicles from Khanh Hoa to Da Lat in the direction of Ngoan Muc Pass should change direction from D'ran Commune to National Highway 27, then turn to National Highway 20 to go to Da Lat via Prenn Pass or Mimosa Pass, avoiding areas where landslides are occurring.

Below are some images of the current landslide situation at D'ran Pass recorded by reporters of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television:
