On October 29, the Veterans Association of Long Dien commune (An Giang province) held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

The whole commune has 165 well-off and rich member households (reaching 57.9%); supported 30 members to access capital of more than 700 million VND for production and business; mobilized more than 100 million VND to repair 3 houses for members in difficult circumstances...

The congress unanimously set out 11 targets, striving to eliminate 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses for members in the next 5 years; 100% of members of working age and still healthy enough to be consulted, guided, trained, and helped to have opportunities to find jobs...

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Veterans Association of An Giang province to appoint 15 comrades to join the Executive Committee of the Veterans Association of Long Dien commune, term I; and to appoint Mr. Pham Thanh Truong to hold the position of Chairman of the Veterans Association of Long Dien commune.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Dien commune Tran Thanh Phong presented a house and bicycle to the Commune Veterans Association.
