On November 1st, O Lam commune organized a "Flattened Rice Pounding" competition to celebrate the Ok Om Bok Festival.

On October 29th, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of O Lam commune, Neang Sam Bo, announced that at 2 PM on November 1st, the "Pounding Flattened Rice Cakes" competition will be held at the commune's People's Committee headquarters to celebrate the Ok Om Bok Festival 2025.

Flattened rice flakes - an indispensable dish in the Ok Om Bok festival feast of the Khmer people.

The "Pounding Flattened Rice Cakes" competition will feature 15 teams from 12 hamlets and 3 junior high schools in the commune. The competition will also include Khmer cultural performances and traditional games such as sack racing, tug-of-war, and carrying a baby carrier.

Through activities aimed at preserving and promoting unique traditional cultural values; promoting the image of the beautiful rice flake making craft - an indispensable dish in the Ok Om Bok festival feast of the Khmer people. At the same time, creating a joyful and united atmosphere in the community.
