Dong Thap Provincial Library: Organizes numerous activities at the Nguyen Sinh Sac Historical Site.

(DTO) On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the death of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac, the Dong Thap Provincial Library organized many activities at the Nguyen Sinh Sac Memorial Site.

Students participated in the book presentation competition with the theme "Remembering the gratitude owed to Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac".

From December 14th to 16th, the Provincial Library organized a book display space, artistic book arrangement; reading activities; a book presentation contest titled "Remembering the Gratitude to Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Sac"; hands-on activities using books; and fun STEM science with the theme "Library - A Journey Connecting Green Tourism".

The book presentation competition attracted 45 teams from junior high schools in Dong Thap province, who introduced works about Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac, President Ho Chi Minh , his hometown of Nghe An, or Hoa An village, Cao Lanh (now Cao Lanh ward), where Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac lived and worked in his final years; and also introduced works about the homeland, country, and people of Dong Thap.

Children learn about historical documents such as "Mementos of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac preserved by President Ho Chi Minh" and participate in experiential activities like "The beauty of the checkered scarf in labor"; they also read books to learn about the ancient Hoa An village in the Nguyen Sinh Sac historical site and practice using the book "The Picture of Hoa An Village".

In addition, children can visit, take photos, participate in interactive chess experiences, and enjoy many other fun activities at the exhibition space.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Xuan Dieu Secondary School (My Tho ward), two second prizes, four third prizes, and eight consolation prizes to the teams with outstanding performances.

According to Dang Nhat Quang, Director of the Dong Thap Provincial Library, the activities took place on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the death of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac and the awarding of the Certificate of Ranking as a Special National Monument for the Tomb of Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac; and the inauguration of the project "Restoration, Preservation and Promotion of the Value of the Nguyen Sinh Sac Historical Site".

These activities contribute to promoting and educating about historical and cultural traditions, the moral principle of "drinking water and remembering the source"; at the same time, they spread a reading culture in the community, arousing pride and awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values ​​of Dong Thap province.
