Phu Huu Commune Women's Union strives to help 50 households escape poverty

On October 29, the Women's Union of Phu Huu commune (An Giang province) held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. During the past term, the Women's Union of Phu Huu commune maintained the implementation of the program "Accompanying women in the border areas"; the program "Godmother", the program "Millions of gifts to share love" to support the care and upbringing of orphans affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and give gifts, health insurance cards, social insurance to members in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of over 1.3 billion VND.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Women's Union of Phu Huu commune identified 6 basic target groups and focused on implementing 5 key tasks and solutions. Strive to help 50 households escape poverty by 2030; support 20 households to meet the criteria of "Family of 5 haves, 3 cleans", by the end of the term, at least 100 households will meet 8 criteria of the campaign.

The Association shall preside over and supervise at least one policy related to women and children in the commune; maintain and develop membership to reach 60% of women aged 18 and over; strive to have 90% of cadres and members equipped with basic digital skills and level 2 electronic identification accounts by 2030...

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of An Giang province to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Phu Huu commune, term I, consisting of 17 comrades; the Standing Committee of 5 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Thi Loi was appointed to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of Phu Huu commune.
