117 construction teams are working on the Ho Chi Minh Highway project, specifically the Rach Soi - Ben Nhut and Go Quao - Vinh Thuan sections.

On October 29th, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Highway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) announced that the cumulative output of the investment project to build the Ho Chi Minh Highway section from Rach Soi to Ben Nhat and Go Quao to Vinh Thuan (An Giang and Ca Mau provinces) has reached approximately 1,439.5 billion VND, achieving 51.4% of the plan.

The unit stated that the project is divided into two construction packages. Currently, there are a total of 117 construction teams (41 teams for bridge construction and 76 teams for road construction).

The machinery and equipment mobilized for construction include 7 concrete plants, 9 pile drilling lines, 20 barges, 6 D600 pile driving lines, 68 excavators, 15 wick drain installation machines, 4 CDM pile construction machines, 52 cranes, 16 mixer trucks, 10 generators, 4 three-phase power stations, 18 total stations, and leveling instruments…

The total workforce for the project is 383 people, including 48 engineers. Currently, the contractor is constructing the substructure of 21 bridges, preparing the ground, gathering equipment and materials, and constructing temporary bridges for 3 bridges. In areas where the land has been handed over and construction is accessible, the contractor is carrying out embankment filling, installing drainage wicks, and applying load.

The Ho Chi Minh Highway construction project, specifically the Rach Soi - Ben Nhut and Go Quao - Vinh Thuan sections, has a total length of 51.94km; of which approximately 45.27km is within An Giang province and approximately 6.67km is within Ca Mau province. The route includes 25 bridges, totaling 3.187km in length.

The total investment for the project is VND 3,904.072 billion. The road will be a Class III road in a flat area, with 4 lanes and a design speed of 80 km/h. Completion is expected on December 31, 2025.

The unit is accelerating the construction progress and coordinating with the People's Committee of An Giang province and relevant units to resolve difficulties so that the project can be completed on schedule.
