Chu Prong Rubber maintains its number one position overall at the Regional Sports Festival I.

With a superior number of participating athletes (45) and competition events (17 out of 18 events), the Chu Prong Rubber Company successfully defended its top position in the overall standings for the second consecutive time at the Workers' Sports Festival of Region I with 103 points, far ahead of the second-place unit by more than 50 points.

Leaders of VRG and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province presented the first prize for the overall team to Chu Prong Rubber Company.

Three second prizes went to the host unit, Chu Pah Rubber, and Mang Yang, Ea H'leo Rubber; three third prizes went to Chu Mom Ray, Chu Se, and Krong Buk Rubber. In addition, the organizers also awarded several supplementary prizes for the oldest athlete, best player, and best goalkeeper.

The sports festival was a playground for workers from 26 companies in the Central Highlands, Central Coastal region, Laos, and Binh Thuan and Hoa Binh rubber plantations. The athletes contributed to the festival with exciting matches, beautiful plays, and dramatic competitions... and deservedly stepped onto the podium to receive meaningful medals.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Huynh Kim Nhut - Deputy General Director of VRG, Chairman of the Vietnam Rubber Workers' Union, emphasized: "The Workers' Sports Festival of Region I has been a great success, concluding with many emotions, including joy and regrets. The athletes tried their best, gave their all, and exchanged and learned a lot from friends and colleagues. Through this sports festival, the units will continue to take better care of the material and spiritual lives of the workers, and continue to nurture the sports movement to develop further in the future."
