According to Argentinian media, Tevez and Talleres' contract expired on June 30th, and both sides decided not to renew it. The 0-1 defeat against arch-rival Atletico Belgrano in the Apertura Round of 16 was seen as the final straw, causing all previous negotiations to completely collapse.

The former Manchester United star has repeatedly expressed his desire to continue his long-term commitment. However, his lackluster performance against Belgrano has eroded the club's confidence. Tevez has been heavily criticized for his uninspired play in the most important match of the season.

Internal sources indicate that the club's leadership is unhappy with the inconsistency throughout the first half of the season. Despite moments where the team was in the top group, Talleres failed to develop a clear tactical identity under Tevez.

Notably, Tevez also did not continue to coach the team in the match against Atletico Tucuman in the Copa Argentina on May 20th. This means that "Apache's" journey in Talleres officially ended earlier than expected.

After retiring in 2022, Tevez successively managed Rosario Central and Independiente, but only for short periods before leaving the coaching position due to poor results. He was also recently appointed as the coach of Talleres last July.
