Many people enjoy eating meat every day.

Is meat healthy?

According to Yahoo News, Associate Professor Rosemary Trout of Drexel University (USA) says that meat is an excellent source of protein containing all the essential amino acids and nutrients such as vitamin B12, iron, and zinc.

Animal protein in meat is absorbed and assimilated more efficiently than plant protein.

Besides protein and nutrients, meat also contains fat and cholesterol.

However, consuming too much fat can lead to weight gain, metabolic disorders, and affect triglyceride and cholesterol levels in the blood.

Additionally, some types of meat, such as bacon and cold cuts, contain ingredients like added salt, sugar, nitrates, or fats, which may not be suitable for daily consumption.

The healthiness of different types of meat varies depending on the level of processing. Processed meat is generally less healthy than raw meat.

In addition to meat, meals should include plenty of fiber and micronutrients.

Is it okay to eat meat every day?

According to the U.S. Dietary Guidelines, a person should consume approximately 750 grams of meat and eggs per week.

According to Lauren Manaker, an award-winning American nutritionist, if meat is consumed in the recommended portion sizes and combined with other nutrient-rich foods to ensure a healthy diet, daily meat consumption can be "acceptable".

According to Trout experts: If you choose fresh or minimally processed meat and cook it yourself, you can absolutely eat meat every day.

In addition to dietary intake, expert Manaker advises limiting highly processed meats. At the same time, meals should include more fiber and micronutrients, according to Yahoo News.
