According to a new report from Appfigures, the download numbers of the top 3 apps (excluding games) are as follows:
ChatGPT: 46 million downloads (13 million on iOS and 33 million on Android).
Instagram : 46 million downloads (5 million on iOS and 41 million on Android).
TikTok : 45 million downloads (8 million on iOS and 37 million on Android).
Ultimately, it was ChatGPT's dominance on the App Store that helped this AI app pull ahead and win by a narrow margin.
Although the majority of downloads come from Android, ChatGPT has a huge advantage on iOS over both TikTok and Instagram.
ChatGPT is the number 1 app on Apple's App Store, while TikTok is only in 6th place. Instagram doesn't even make it into the top 10.
