Initial information indicates that the fire occurred at the GM Company's timber warehouse located at 11 An Phu Street, An Phu Ward. The warehouse covers an area of ​​approximately 7,000 square meters.

As of the morning of November 23rd, the fire had not yet been extinguished because the warehouse contained wood and many flammable materials, making it impossible to estimate property damage.

The fire spread rapidly, making firefighting difficult.

Earlier, upon receiving the report of the fire, the local fire department immediately arrived, but due to the rapid spread of the flames, they were unable to control them.

During the night, in addition to 15 fire trucks, 4 fire command vehicles, and 70 firefighters participating in the rescue operation along with the on-site force, there was also support from the fire department of VSIP 1 industrial park.

Speaking to reporters, the leader of An Phu ward People's Committee said that the fire at the workshop used as a wood warehouse by VM Company did not cause any casualties.
