Việt NamViệt Nam22/09/2024

In order to serve the travel needs of people and tourists to Sapa during the ripe rice season, the railway industry has restored the SP3/SP4 passenger train pair on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route from tomorrow, September 23, 2024.

Previously, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway line was severely affected by storm No. 3 and floods. The railway industry urgently repaired and reopened the line on September 15. However, there are still many slow-moving points on the line, with train speeds ranging from 10-15km/h, so only freight trains are running at present.

Based on the actual situation, from September 23, the railway industry will run the SP3/SP4 passenger trains again, however the journey will be 30-60 minutes longer than usual to ensure safety in all aspects. The SP3 train schedule departs from Hanoi station at 22:00, the SP4 train departs from Lao Cai station at 21:30.

Currently, ticket prices for the SP3/SP4 train pair range from 280,000-420,000 VND/ticket/trip depending on seat type, carriage type, departure date and travel direction.

In addition, Hanoi Railways Company also sells bus tickets from Lao Cai station to points in Sapa within a 2km radius from the Stone Church or vice versa, the service price is 55,000 VND/ticket/trip. Passengers can buy bus tickets when buying train tickets directly or online.

If there is a change in the schedule, the railway industry will notify you via the phone number registered when purchasing the ticket, or you can proactively look up information about the actual journey of the train via zalo "Vietnam Railways".
