Fire at clothing store in Ho Chi Minh City

On August 23, authorities of Binh Chanh district are clarifying the cause of the fire that occurred at a clothing store in Vinh Loc B commune.

At around 4:30 a.m. the same day, a fire broke out at a clothing store on Nguyen Thi Tu Street, Vinh Loc B Commune. Discovering the incident, people nearby shouted and tried to put out the fire on the spot, but were unsuccessful.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Binh Chanh District Police mobilized many officers, soldiers and fire fighting vehicles to quickly go to the scene to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading. The fire was extinguished shortly after.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, the leader of Vinh Loc B Commune People's Committee said that the fire did not cause any human casualties, but burned down many properties inside the clothing store. An ATM and part of the bank sign next to it were burned.

The cause of the fire and the amount of damage are being clarified by the police.
