The first round of Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam HSA 2024 (round 401) took place on March 23 - 24.3. This exam takes place at 8 locations including: Testing Center, University of Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (all under Hanoi National University), Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Academy Bank, Thai Binh University, Nam Dinh University of Technical Education.
Candidates take part 401 of the HSA 2024 competency assessment exam
The total number of candidates registered to take the exam according to the list is 11.157. The number of students present for the exam was 11.014, the participation rate was 98,7%. This is a much higher rate than in the same exam period last year. Some test locations have 100% of candidates present for the test. After one week of taking the exam, candidates will receive a score report by mail.
According to the Exam Council, during the two exam days, 9 candidates were suspended for violating exam regulations. Professor Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of Hanoi National University Testing Center, said that all 9 students made the mistake of copying exam questions into Atlas documents (brought into the exam room) to take home. This is a very important mistake, reminded many times by the exam board but some candidates still violate it.
“This is a very unfortunate violation, because test scores are very strictly controlled, and it is very difficult to get the questions out. But there's no point in bringing it out! Some students copy the questions back in the hope that when they take the exam the second time (regulations allow each candidate to register for the exam twice a year) they will win that question. But the probability of seeing that question again is extremely low, less than 2%. In addition, candidates who have been suspended from the exam are not allowed to take the exam a second time," Mr. Thao shared.
Professor Nguyen Tien Thao also said that this year, Hanoi National University Testing Center deployed candidate identification technology at all test locations. Candidates must present citizen identification and photo identification when completing exam procedures.
The next 402 exam will take place on April 6 and 7.4 in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, with the number of candidates registered to take the exam is 18.213. The Hanoi National University Testing Center will announce the scores for the March and April exams in early May.
