Located at the corner of Tran Hung Dao Street in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province), the Twin Towers are immortalized in a lyrical folk song of the people of Quy Nhon: "The Twin Bridge connects with the Twin Towers / Entwined all year round like me and my beloved." The Twin Towers are considered one of the most unique and beautiful examples of Cham architectural art. The Twin Towers of Binh Dinh are regarded as one of the most beautiful tower complexes among the Cham towers scattered throughout the South Central coastal region.
According to documents from the Twin Towers Management Board, dating back to the late 12th and early 13th centuries, the Twin Towers are one of the Cham cultural architectural relics with distinctive religious characteristics. The towers have a unique structure, consisting of two towers: the larger tower (on the right) is about 25m high, and the smaller tower is 23m high. The main entrances of both towers face south. The Twin Towers viewed from the side. Like many other Cham towers, the Twin Towers were also built with fired bricks tightly fitted together with a special binder, a unique construction technique unique to the Cham people that remains unexplained to this day. The corners of the tower are decorated with stone statues of the mythical bird Garuda (human body, bird head). Garuda is a sacred bird in Hinduism and has influenced Buddhism. According to Indian mythology, Garuda symbolizes the sun, air, and fire. Decorative patterns adorn the base of the tower. Inside the main tower is a shrine dedicated to the Linga-Yoni idols. The Linga is placed on a Yoni pedestal, symbolizing the harmony of yin and yang, the source of all fertility and abundance, reflecting the widespread fertility beliefs of the Cham farmers. Every day, many tourists visit the Twin Towers.
