On the morning of November 19, the final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the North, Central America and Caribbean (CONCACAF) region concluded with dramatic results. Curacao wrote a fairy tale by qualifying for the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Haiti also returned to the biggest football festival on the planet for the first time after 52 years of waiting. Meanwhile, Panama participated for the second time.
In Europe, the final five direct spots have also been determined. Along with familiar names such as Belgium, Switzerland and Spain, attention is on Austria and Scotland.
Both teams ended their World Cup droughts dating back to 1998 and returned to the tournament, with Scotland in particular making a remarkable comeback, scoring two goals in injury time to beat Denmark 4-2 and take top spot in their group.
