The People's Committee of Dien Loi commune (Dien Chau district) announced that the inter-agency inspection team of Dien Chau district has discovered violations in the exploitation of land outside the licensed mining area by Thien Hoang Equipment Joint Stock Company (Thien Hoang Company) and Hoang Phuc Limited Company (Hoang Phuc Company).
Subsequently, representatives from the Dien Loi Commune People's Committee, along with the two businesses and the North Central Geological Federation, visited the two soil mines to determine their locations, measure the volume, and assess the area of excavation outside the permitted scope.
The participation of the North Central Geological Federation is due to the involvement of two companies that lease land from the mines.

Following the inspection, the North Central Geological Federation and the two companies with illegal mining operations provided the following documents and initial measurement results:
Hoang Phuc Company exploited an area of 2.19 hectares outside its licensed mineral extraction zone, with a volume of nearly 106,000 cubic meters of soil. Thien Hoang Company initially determined that it exploited an area of more than 2 hectares outside the boundaries of its first land lease, with a volume of more than 114,000 cubic meters of soil.
On the same day, in a phone conversation with a reporter, Mr. Tang Van Luyen, Chairman of the Dien Chau District People's Committee, stated that the survey data for the two soil mines mentioned above was not in accordance with proper procedures. The data was obtained by the enterprise itself through a surveying unit, therefore the results are not recognized.
"The surveying must be contracted out by the state, which selects the unit to ensure objectivity," Mr. Luyen informed, adding that the Dien Chau District People's Committee is continuing to select a new surveying unit.
As previously reported, in early August, a joint inspection team from Dien Chau district inspected and discovered numerous violations at the two aforementioned soil mines. Notably, both businesses operating the mines were found to have been exploiting soil outside the permitted boundaries.
At this time, initial inspection data shows that the two businesses have exploited more than 1 hectare of land outside the permitted area.
