BIM Group Chairman Passes Away

According to BIM Group representative, the funeral will be held at the National Funeral Home on November 10 at 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi .

According to BIM Group, the company is committed to making efforts to continue promoting the values that Mr. Doan Quoc Viet has laid the foundation for. Currently, Mr. Doan Quoc Huy - Mr. Viet's son - holds the role of Vice Chairman and General Director of the group.

Mr. Doan Quoc Viet was born in 1955 in Hanoi. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, then worked at the Institute of Electrical Engineering Science Research (formerly under the Ministry of Electricity). Here, he researched the application of renewable energy. In 1986, Mr. Viet was sent by the State to do research at Warsaw Polytechnic University (Poland).

In 1989, he started his business in the import-export sector and established BIM Co. Ltd a year later. The company operates in the fields of trade, hotels and restaurants. In 1994, he returned to Vietnam and founded BIM Group, at the same time building the first 4-star private hotel in Quang Ninh - Ha Long Plaza Hotel - starting his career in Vietnam.

Mr. Viet has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIM Group until now. After many years of development, this enterprise is known as one of the largest multi-industry private economic groups in Vietnam, operating in 4 main areas including real estate; renewable energy; agriculture and food; consumer services,
