People living on Lam Son Street, Tan Binh District (HCMC) said that the iron ball shooting situation has been happening in the locality for 2 months now but the culprit has not been found.
On March 6, Ward 3 Police, Tan Binh District, were investigating the incident of about 2 households on Lam Son Street having iron balls shot into their homes, causing property damage.
According to people, every time the police come down to check, this action pauses for a few days, then continues. When the culprit causing the incident has not been discovered, they feel insecure.

Occasionally, when he heard iron ball bullets flying into people's houses, making noise, he immediately hid under a tree to avoid it, afraid of being hit.
According to Mr. Su, at noon on March 5, a woman drove a 3-seater car to park in front of the coffee shop to get a drink. At this time, iron ball bullets continued to fly. Several bullets were fired into the car, causing the rear window to break.
Discovering the incident, the female car owner called her husband to come and notify the insurance agent. “They said they would go to the police. I don't know if there will be a report or not. A few days ago, a shoe shiner was also shot and bruised in the leg by an iron ball," Mr. Su said.
According to the male security guard, more than a month ago, people reported to the police that iron ball shooting had occurred in the locality. The police went down to check but did not find the culprit. About 3 days later, the iron ball shooting situation recurred to this day.

Ms. Thuy (43 years old, local resident) said that on March 4, iron ball shooting took place all day in the area. The bullets flew so fast that people did not know where they came from. “Yesterday, a car's glass was broken. Maybe the person who caused the incident was also scared so he didn't dare shoot again," Ms. Thuy said.
According to Ms. Thuy, every time they heard the sound of iron ball bullets hitting the corrugated iron roof, everyone went into the house to hide. If the residential area close to Tan Son Nhat airport has been like this for a month now, everyone is upset.
“Lam Son Street has a lot of traffic and pedestrians. If the shooting continues, it will be very dangerous. On January 25, people reported to the police. Yesterday (March 1), people continued to report the incident to the police," Ms. Thuy said.

As noted by the reporter People intellectual, on the same afternoon, the police force of Ward 2 (Tan Binh district) came to the scene to check. At alley 48 Lam Son recently, about 20 houses had iron balls shot into their houses.
Some households had punctured window glass, corrugated iron roofs, and water dispensers. One house had a broken solar water heater on the rooftop.
The representative of the People's Committee of Ward 2 (Tan Binh district) directed the police at the same level to verify and investigate the case of several houses on Lam Son street being hit by iron balls, damaging property and cars.

According to local authorities, initially there were about 3 cases of people's houses being seriously hit by iron balls, causing property damage; About 15 other households were also hit by iron balls. “The police have not yet determined where these iron balls came from.
