Under the cool breeze of the year-end days, Hang Ma Street dons a vibrant cloak rarely seen elsewhere.

The small street in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter is illuminated by the red and yellow hues of lanterns, couplets, red envelopes, and countless other Tet decorations.

The most prominent feature is the horse mascot - the symbol of the Year of the Fire Horse.

From one end of the street to the other, horses of all sizes and shapes, in a variety of materials, colors, and forms, create a vibrant and colorful Tet atmosphere. These horse mascots are sold for prices ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 VND.

The abundance of designs makes Hang Ma Street a vibrant photo spot, chosen by many locals and tourists as a "check-in" location when visiting Hanoi.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (30 years old, Thai Nguyen) and Ms. Vu Kim Xuyen (26 years old, Ninh Binh ) strolled through the streets, took photos, and enjoyed the early spring atmosphere.

Having been involved in the street vending business on Hang Ma Street for many years, Ms. Doan Thanh Thu (in the red shirt) said that this year's Tet market started early but proceeded more slowly than usual. She shared: "The Tet atmosphere arrived early, but the purchasing power is spread out, not as intense as in previous years because the Tet preparation time lasted longer than in previous years."

Ms. Pham Phuong Nhung, 23 years old ( from Hai Duong ), said that this year, her family runs a decorative goods business, so she personally went to Hang Ma Street to import goods for resale. According to Ms. Nhung, prices this year are reasonable, making it easier to buy wholesale compared to last year. She predicted: "Curtains, couplets, New Year's greeting cards, and statues of the God of Wealth are still popular, and sales are likely to be good this year."

Along with decorations, Tet gift boxes also come in a wide variety of designs and are sold at prices ranging from 70,000 to 150,000 VND.
