The FPT Edu Hackathon 2024 finals showcase AI competition from elementary school to university level.

Nearly 100 contestants competed in the final roundof the FPT Edu Hackathon 2024.

The 28 teams with nearly 100 contestants in the FPT Edu Hackathon 2024 final round were divided into 4 categories: University category; College - High School - High School College category; Middle School category; and Elementary School category.

In the University and College/High School/High School/College categories, competing teams programmed their products for 27 consecutive hours. Contestants in the Middle School and Elementary School categories had 6 hours to develop their software before teams from both categories presented and demoed their products. This is a unique feature of the FPT Edu Hackathon competition, and also the biggest challenge contestants must overcome, modeled after famous hackathon competitions worldwide .

The contestants maintained a high level of concentration during the product development process.

With the theme "Generative AI," FPT Edu Hackathon 2024 presents one of the most attractive and rapidly developing technological trends today as a challenging topic for the competing teams.

Competing teams need to apply algorithmic skills, be flexible in using programming languages, possess teamwork abilities, and ensure the product is completed to the highest standard within the specified time. In addition, this topic has the potential to foster creative thinking among FPT Edu students about an "artificial intelligence universe" where useful technologies and applications exist that they can use in their daily lives and studies.

Awards were given to the outstanding teams.

In the end, the victory went to the four group champions: Group A (University group): TechTack - Greenwich Vietnam ( Hanoi campus), Group B (College - High School - College-High School group): Human - FPT Polytechnic Can Tho, Group C (Middle School group): Sweet Hacker - FPT Cau Giay Primary and Secondary School, and Group D (Primary School group): MD14 - FPT Da Nang Primary and Secondary School.

The winners of categories A and B applied Generative AI to build intelligent systems that quickly and conveniently address increasingly pressing needs in daily life, such as systems to support the search and management of legal documents and systems to support screening at hospitals. The best products in categories C and D impressed the judges by adhering closely to the theme of "Generative AI," its application in education, and its quality and speed of completion.

The four winning teams will have the opportunity to study and gain experience in Taiwan (China) - the "Silicon Valley of Asia"; the teams participating in the FPT Edu Hackathon 2024 final round will receive prizes totaling up to 300 million VND.

FPT Edu Hackathon is an annual programming competition organized by the FPT Education Organization. Maintaining its popularity over the years, with continuously updated themes and expanding scale, the competition has become a highly anticipated event for young people passionate about technology and programming. Through this competition, many creative ideas have been sparked, many young programming talents have been discovered, and have had the opportunity to gain experience, learn, improve their skills, and solidify their journey in pursuing their passion.

The competition brought "Generative AI" closer to real life and made it more accessible to the public through the products of the competing teams, as well as inspiring young, technology-loving contestants to build "made by Vietnam" AI applications.

FPT Edu Hackathon 2024 is also an opportunity for young people passionate about programming to hone their skills, listen to insights about AI, and learn about the latest technology trends from technology experts who are members of the final round judging panel.

The FPT Edu Hackathon 2024 final round, held at FPT University AI Quy Nhon, featured teams from: FPT University Hanoi, FPT University Da Nang Campus, FPT University Ho Chi Minh City Campus, Greenwich Vietnam Hanoi Campus, Swinburne Vietnam Hanoi Campus, FPT Secondary and High School Hai Phong, FPT Primary, Secondary and High School Da Nang, FPT Primary and Secondary School Cau Giay, FPT Inter-level School Bac Ninh, FPT Primary, Secondary and High School Bac Giang, FPT High School Hanoi, FPT Polytechnic Da Nang College, FPT Polytechnic Can Tho College, and FPT International Training Institute.
