FPT Edu students and lecturers performed 7 traditional musical instruments in the MV "Thien Am" which was just released on digital platforms on August 31.
The "artists" of FPT Education Organization (FPT Edu) performed 7 traditional musical instruments including: monochord, moon-shaped lute, pipa, erhu, zither, bamboo flute and drum. These are all musical instruments taught in the main curriculum of the Traditional Music Department at FPT University, under FPT Edu.
The production team representative said that the student musicians all demonstrated their mastery of traditional musical instrument playing techniques, even though they did not come from art schools.

The rehearsal and performance process of FPT Edu artists took place simultaneously in all 5 major cities of Vietnam for many weeks. "The 7-minute-long song, which goes from traditional nuances to modern, cheerful and youthful melodies, performed through various instruments, is the result of hard work and preparation by students and lecturers," said the MV production unit.

"Thien Am" is a combination of folk melodies with modern arrangements. Folk melodies from three regions of the country: Qua cau gio bay (Bac Ninh folk song), Ly Tinh Tang ( Hue folk song) and Ly ngua o (Southern folk song) are mashup with modern rhythms of electronic music, combined with DJ in some climaxes to create a unique timbre.
The filming location of the MV was also elaborately invested. Famous landmarks with historical and cultural significance such as Hoan Kiem Lake and walking street in Hanoi, President Ho Chi Minh statue at Nguyen Hue walking street in the city named after him, Ninh Kieu wharf in Can Tho, Dragon bridge in Da Nang, Quy Nhon coastline all appear in the MV.

One of the impressive scenes of the MV is from all over the country, FPT Edu students in orange shirts holding musical instruments blending into the crowd, playing traditional melodies. Surrounded by many people cheering, letting their souls follow the music. Not only gathering a large number of main "actors", the MV also gathers many "extras" to create the emotional climax.
Released to the public on National Day, the MV praises the beauty of national identity, landscapes and people of Vietnam. "The MV has spread the spirit of love for national culture among young Vietnamese people, arousing the desire to preserve and promote Vietnamese identity, while expressing pride in the cultural values of the nation," commented an audience member.

MV "Thien Am" is a music product directed by Tat My Loan - a director who was nominated for the Mai Vang Award for Music Director category, director of the program " Duyen Dang Viet Nam" in the first years.
Musician Dang Tien Dat (Dat Kim) arranged and harmonized the music. He is known as a talented young artist, creative in combining traditional music with other genres.
The MV is also a product to share the spirit of "creating happiness" of FPT Corporation and is in the process of participating in setting a record for the MV with the most traditional musical instruments performed by the most people in Vietnam.
